Elmley Nature Reserve

Day trip with my friend Milt to explore Elmley Nature Reserve.  We did not see any short-ear owls for which the reserve is famous but we saw plenty of other birds including a friendly kestrel, lapwings and for the first time I saw reed-buntings (last picture).  My zoom lens is not powerful enough to come closer to it but still it was fun to see flying around. The derelict building is the old village school... glad it is not needed anymore.
PS: these are the first time I can take a bird in flight ... I will not win any prizes but it was quite a rewarding experience. Elmley is a paradise for bird watchers and photographers.
